1. Roughness.

The laser cutting section will form a vertical pattern, the depth of the pattern determines the roughness of the cutting surface, the shallower the pattern, the smoother the cutting section. Roughness not only affects the appearance of edges, but also affects friction characteristics. In most cases, the roughness needs to be reduced as much as possible. Therefore, the shallower the pattern, the higher the cutting quality.

2. Verticality.

How to thickness of sheet metal is more than 10 mm, the verticality of cutting edge is very important. 3. Cutting width.

This is because the cutting width determines the minimum internal pass of the profile. When the thickness of the plate increases, the cutting width increases. Therefore, to ensure the same high precision, no matter how wide the cut, the workpiece in the laser cutting machine processing area should be constant.

4. Pattern.

When cutting thick plates at high speed, molten metal will not appear in the cut under the vertical laser beam, but spray out at the back of the laser beam. Results: the curved pattern formed at the cutting edge, and the pattern closely followed the moving laser beam. In order to correct this problem, the feed rate was reduced at the end of cutting process, and the formation of the pattern could be eliminated greatly.

5. Burr.

Burr formation determines the quality of laser cutting is a very important factor, because the removal of burr requires additional workload, so the amount of burr and how much can be directly judged the quality of cutting.

6. Material deposition.

Laser cutting machine first touches a special oil-bearing liquid on the surface of workpiece before melting and perforation. During cutting, due to gasification and various materials are not used, the customer uses wind to remove the cut, but the upward or downward discharge will also form deposition on the surface.

7. Depression and corrosion.

The concave and corrosion have adverse effects on the surface of the cutting edge and affect the appearance. They appear in the general should avoid cutting errors.

8. Heat affected area.

In laser cutting, the area near the cut is heated. At the same time, the structure of metal changes. For example, some metals harden. The thermal impact area refers to the depth of the area where the internal structure changes.

9. Deformation.

If cutting causes the component to heat sharply, it will deform. This is particularly important in fine processing, because the profile and connecting pieces are usually only a few millimeters wide. Controlling laser power and using short laser pulse can reduce the heat change of components and avoid deformation.
