Cizallas guillotina hidráulicas para chapa metálica KRRASS

Based on the different modes of upper blade movement, shearing machines can be divided into swing beam shearing machines and Hydraulic Guillotine Shear machine. The swing beam shearing machine is a hydraulic-powered shearing machine where the upper blade swings in an arc around a fixed axis during the shearing process, and the shearing angle is fixed. The guillotine shear has a dual-action feature with an upper ram and a lower hydraulic pad, allowing adjustable shearing angles to accommodate different types of materials. Let's explore the differences between guillotine shears and swing beam shearing machines.

Debido a la gran variedad de cizallas hidráulicas disponibles en el mercado, puede ser difícil decidir cuál se adapta mejor a sus necesidades. Pero no se preocupe, ¡en KRRASS estamos aquí para ayudarle!

1. Differences in Movement

The blade of a guillotine shear moves up and down in a vertical straight line motion relative to the lower blade, ensuring minimal distortion and higher straightness accuracy, achieving twice the precision of swing beam shearing machines.

The swing beam shearing machine has an arc-shaped motion, where the swinging blade contacts the material to ensure straightness.

2. Different Applications

Guillotine shears have a wider range of applications and are suitable for industries such as automotive, tractor, locomotive, shipbuilding, electrical machinery, and instruments. They are also suitable for stretching various high-strength alloy plates.

Swing beam shearing machines are used in industries such as power generation and aviation for processes such as stretching, bending, extrusion, and forming of metal sheets.

3. Different Shearing Angles

The blade angle of a swing beam shearing machine is fixed, and the shearing speed cannot be adjusted.

Guillotine shears can adjust the angle by quickly changing the oil volume in the hydraulic cylinder, resulting in increased shearing angle for thicker materials and faster shearing speed for higher efficiency, effectively reducing the bending of the plates.

Which One is Better: Guillotine Shears or Swing Beam Shearing Machines?

Guillotine shears offer higher accuracy, more blade contact surface, and longer lifespan. However, the production cost of guillotine shears is higher. Considering cost-saving factors, if the shearing precision requirements are low and the thickness of the material is relatively thin (below 8mm), a swing beam shearing machine can be chosen. For materials thicker than 8mm, a guillotine shear must be chosen, as the operating principle of cizalladora de vigas oscilantes restricts their ability to cut thick plates.

Currently, domestically produced cizalladora de vigas oscilantes have been largely phased out, and major domestic manufacturers no longer produce them. The market mainly consists of guillotine shears, although some backward countries and regions still use swing beam shearing machines.
